Keep your nails trimmed short. The simple logic behind doing this is, if there is nothing to chew, you will not feel to bite your nails.

If the habit is tough to get rid of, giving your nails a bitter taste could be helpful. Just brush your nails with the bitter flavoured nail polish.

Spend some money on your nails, get regular manicures, and apply different shades, which will make you less likely to bite them.
