Karachi among world’s least livable city:  Which are the others?

Karachi, Pakistan’s largest city, has been named one of the world’s top five ‘least liveable’ cities. It is ranked 169th out of 173 cities.

On top of the list of the least livable cities, is Syria’s Damascus, plagued by continuous violence and instability

Political unrest makes Libya’s Tripoli the second-worst city. The oil-rich country once had one of the highest standards of living in Africa.

With poor education and healthcare infrastructure, Algiers, the capital of Algeria, is ranked third.

Nigeria’s Lagos comes fourth, two spots up from 2022.

High crime rate and social upheaval make Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea’s capital, the sixth most unlivable city in the world.

Dhaka, Harare, and Kyiv are far from ideal to live.

The most livable cities are in Western Europe. Vienna is No 1.

Copenhagen, Zurich, Geneva, Frankfurt and Amsterdam are among the best places to live.
