Monsoon Hacks: 8 tips to dry clothes during rainy days

Use the washing machine’s high-spin setting. It removes a significant amount of water from clothes before they reach the drying stage.

Lay a clean towel flat on a surface and place your wet garments on top. Roll the towel and garments together, applying gentle pressure to absorb moisture.

Give your damp garments a quick blast with the hairdryer to speed up drying.

If there’s a brief pause in the rain and the sun makes an appearance, seize the opportunity to dry clothes outside.

Choose a spot with good airflow to encourage faster drying.

Placing a clothes rack near a radiator, heating vent, or any other source of warmth can do wonders.

Investing in a dehumidifier can help remove excess moisture from the air, creating a more favourable environment for drying.

Heavy fabrics, such as jeans or towels, tend to take longer to dry. Separate them from lighter garments, like T-shirts or socks, to allow them to dry faster.

If you have a tumble dryer, putting a couple of tin foil balls in the drum can help speed things up.
