Phone battery dying too fast?  These apps could be the reason

If your phone battery is dying too fast, perhaps it is owing to these apps. Experts note that the main culprits are social media apps such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and TikTok.

They frequently run in the background to provide real-time notifications, updates, and location services, putting a strain on your phone’s battery.

These apps usually have access to the location, microphone, camera and contacts at all times.

Some users are also complaining of high battery consumption by Threads, the new social media app from Meta.

Spotify, Netflix, and Amazon are also among the worst culprits for draining a phone’s battery life.

Uber, the hail and ride app, has also been found to rapidly drain the battery life of your phone.

Graphically intensive mobile games demand a lot of processing power and battery resources. Candy crush is one to name.

If you do want to save your battery, a change in settings is a must. Provide access to location only when the app is being used, and not at all times.

You can also disable background app refresh settings. The best thing to do is to delete the ones you don’t use.
