A new study has pinpointed exactly which breeds are most likely to be aggressive towards other dogs.

It is found that fighting dogs are the most aggressive.

This group includes American Bulldogs, American Pit Bull Terriers and American Staffordshire Terriers.

German Shepherds were second in aggressiveness after fighting dogs.

Parson type terriers were discovered to be the third most aggressive dogs.

Number four and five on the list are Asian primitive dogs and Miniature Pinschers.

Golden Retrievers, Labrador Retrievers and Scenthounds were found to be the least aggressive dogs.

Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie) are the most insecure, while the least insecure were Bull-type terriers.

Parson-type terriers have the most energy, whereas livestock guardian dogs were the least energetic.

Study also details that male dogs are more aggressive than females.

Dogs were found to be most aggressive at age nine.
