Total production of tomatoes in Spain is 4,754,380 tonnes, making it the seventh largest producer in the world.

With fertile soils, ample sunshine, and skilled farmers, Mexico produces an abundance of flavourful tomatoes, 4,149,241 tonnes per year, the eight largest in the world.

Brazil is ranked ninth in tomato production, with 3,679,169 tonnes yearly production. Farmers here grow various types of tomatoes, including saladette tomatoes, processing tomatoes, and cherry tomatoes.

Nigeria produces 3,573,968 tonnes of tomatoes per year. Tomato production contributes significantly to the country’s economy and food security.
