Tired eyes? 10 easy exercises to reduce the strain 

Having a bad, stressful day at work? Relax your eyes with eye presses. Lightly press each eyelid with fingers for 10 seconds. Release for two seconds, then apply slight pressure again.

Palming relaxes eye muscles and reduces eye fatigue. Warm your hands up by rubbing them together, then press the palm of each hand over the matching cheekbone

Consciously blinking might help repair the tear film. Close your eyes for two seconds, then open them again and repeat several times.

Figure of eight is a simple and great exercise for the flexibility of eye muscles. Imagine a giant figure eight as you stare at a blank wall. Trace the figure eight’s route with your eyes without moving your head.

Pencil push-ups train eyes to converge for near objects. Hold a pencil at arm’s length, focusing on the tip. Then slowly moving the pencil closer to the nose while keeping the tip at a single focus.

Alternate near and far focus. Hold thumb 10 inches away, focus for 15 secs. Shift gaze to a target 20 feet away, focus 15 secs. Repeat for improved focusing ability.

Remember the 20-20-20 rule. For every 20 minutes of close work, stare at a target 20 feet away for 20 seconds.

To relieve eye strain, simply sit up, maintain the head motionless, and roll your eyes, first looking to the right, then to the ceiling, then to the left, and finally to the floor, repeating the process several times.

For every 50 minutes of work, aim to take a 10-minute break away from the screen.
