When a man worth Rs 7,000 cr took an auto ride

Thyrocare boss A Velumani has Twitter folks riveted with his travel tweets. His latest is about a conversation he had with an auto driver in Coimbatore after he failed to get an Uber.

During the conversation, Velumani asked the driver about owning an auto. The driver said she was just a driver and did not own the auto. Her husband was also a driver.

Velumani asked if both of them working as drivers was necessary. To which she said she only spends her earnings while saving her husband’s income.

When asked about the reason for saving, she shared that both of them had the aspiration to own their own autos someday.

In another post on June 19, Velumani shared a completely-contrasting picture of him boarding a chartered flight for the first time. He wrote While he had a conversation with the auto driver, he could not converse while in the chartered flight.

Velumani earlier took to Twitter to emphasise the importance of economical travel by encouraging people to opt for local trains in Mumbai. Velumani highlighted that a car journey was estimated to take 70 minutes. However, he opted to travel by the Mumbai local train and completed the same trip in just 18 minutes.
