Rambagh Palace in Jaipur has been named the best hotel in the world.
The ranking was created by online travel site TripAdvisor, using reviews submitted by visitors for the year 2022.
Rambagh Palace also referred to as “The Jewel of Jaipur” is the only Indian property among the top 10 on the list.
It has earned TripAdvisor’s adoration for its unrivalled hospitality, captivating pool, and rejuvenating spa.
The 1835 palace-turned-luxurious hotel has garnered an astounding 5,000 five-star ratings.
Originally commissioned by Maharaja Sawai Man Singh after India’s independence, the palace is now impeccably managed by Taj Hotels.
The magnificent Ozen Reserve Bolifushi in the Maldives ranks second.
Hotel Colline de France in Gramado, Brazil, is ranked third.
The fourth position is held by the Shangri-La The Shard in London.
According to TripAdvisor, the iconic Ritz-Carlton in Hong Kong is fifth on the list of best hotels
Dubai also features on the list, with the beautiful JW Marriott Marquis Hotel ranking sixth.
Other notable properties on the list are Romance Istanbul Hotel – Istanbul and Ikos Dassia – Dassia, Greece, which are ranked seventh and eighth, respectively.
While Ikos Andalusia-Estepona in Spain and Padma Resort Ubud-Puhu in Indonesia were ranked ninth and 10th, respectively.
None of the 10 top-rated hotels in the world are from the US.
